Programs
Personalized Physical and Nutritional Training
The crowd favorite here. We like to think we do well in all areas of coaching, but here is where we make the most progress. You need changes…it must start by what you put into your body. We have many years of R and D in this department, and will guarantee progress. A session by session approach to determining your personal goals with either a focus on physical or nutritional training or both. We’ll work with you to determine your goals and develop a program that provides you with guaranteed success. Whether you want to improve your strength, power, mountain biking or paddling or just want to change your physique and or lose weight, we’ll work with you and determine a session based program that leads you to success.
Complete Treatment
Goal setting- Step #1, #2, #3 and on until we get it right. Let’s make it clear to you and us, and never proceed without your goal in mind. Even if you aren’t sure of your own specific goal, we’ll discuss and help you discover your personal goal. We go no further until this is squared away.
Food and Nutrition – We’ll help to reshape your approach to understanding and consuming food. The primary objective is to create a depth of knowledge of how to treat your body with nutrition. Once this objective is met, we can move toward fitness and athletic goals. So, we commit time toward finding your personal baseline to clearly measure and understand gains and successes.
The Complete Treatment includes 8 sessions to cover goals, training and analysis.
Blood Analysis- We’ll use blood analysis as an important part of your baseline and provide consult on significant markers that measure well being as well as potential red flags- cholesterol, thyroid, blood sugar, iron/electrolyte levels, amongst others.
Body Composition Analysis- A total understanding of your current body makeup at the beginning of this process is critical. Knowing your Body Mass Index (BMI), Basal Metobolic Rate (how many calories you use while resting), Body Fat %, and Lean Muscle Mass are all important markers that give us direction on how to improve your status, and ultimately reach your goal. This may seem Greek to you now, but trust you will have thorough understanding of it all.

Supplement and Diet Design: you will be provided with direction on very important and easy means to educate yourself, all along this process. Web, books, blogs, journals that will be custom directed towards your solutions.

If you’ve not been tested in the past 18 months, it’s essential to ‘look under the hood’, and understand your base lines on this. What your blood can tell us, speaks volumes about your health and well being.
Cardio/Power- Profile
VO2 and Lactate Threshold – This is an advanced exercise testing service providing critical physiological information, highly specific to each individual athlete. This test can be administered on a bike, treadmill or arm ergometer. It’s tough, but it produces info/data that can and will take you to another level of training and fitness.
Cross Fit Endurance
Winter of 2011 will mark the arrival of Cross Fit Endurance, (Brian MacKenzie and Doug Katana of California). Be prepared to have mind and body pushed to achieve incredible results. We will use the amazing outdoor resources of Big Bear to create your new understanding of the methodology turning the fitness world on its head. Quality before Quantity. Adventure/ Multisports Skill Training
Complete packages to host the domestic or international athlete for the total adventure camp are available upon request. 10 or 20 day experience with all the packages listed above, in addition to full multi sport coaching and adventures around the south western U.S.

The methods of coaching are conventional (and sometimes not), and modern as need be. We will use all standard and new cutting edge technology tools to communicate with you during your busy life- it may be in in-person sessions, SKYPE, phone conversations, email, SMS, rest assured we will provide support and resources as much as needed to keep the progress developing. Our facility is the whole resort community of Big Bear Lake. Our resources include our team’s base camp, and the incredible facility and staff of Mountain Fitness Center and Sky High Training’s Human Performance Center. There will always be low pressure vibe, high emphasis on fun and progress.
